RULES & REGULATIONS |

- Yellow
Tees Men/ Red Tees Ladies.
- Better
Ball Stableford points off 3/4 handicap
- 4
players per team plus 2 reserves if required.
- In the
knockout format, each
team will be placed in a group of a maximum of 8
teams playing a maximum of 3 knockout rounds. In the
league, each
team will be placed into a league with a maximum of 5
teams per league and play a fixture based league.
- 2 players
play at home with the other 2 players playing away
in each fixture. In the knockout, both games MUST be played on the same
date. However in the league, you may
play these matches on the same date or on different
dates. However, you must play both games by the PLAY
BY Date. PLEASE NOTE: A player cannot play in
the home and away match in the same fixture.
- The home
betterball score and the away betterball score will be added together
to create the team score
- In the
knockout, the team
with the most stableford points will go through to the
next round. If the score is equal, the countback
system will take place. The back nine of both pairs as
it appears on the card will be used. If still not
agreed, back 6,3,2,1 of both pairs
- In the
league, league
Points will be awarded:-
- 2 Points
for a Fixture Win ( the total of both scores
added together)
- 1 Point
for a Fixture Draw (the total of both scores added together)
- Plus
Bonus Points of
- 2
Points for a Home Pair Win (Best Pairs score)
- 3
Points for an Away Pair Win (Best Pairs score)
- 1
Point for Home/Away Draw (Best Pairs score)
- In the
case of points being equal in any league, the
stableford points
difference ( for and against) will determine the league
positions.
- Winter
rules throughout the league stages.
- NO buggies are
allowed unless medical dispensation has been given by
the Tournament Director.
- NO distance
finders of any kind will be allowed.
- On receipt
of your details, please contact your opposite numbers
to arrange your matches. The earlier you organise
your match, the more time there will be to rearrange
in case of inclement weather.
- You must
offer at least 3 dates with 2 of these being at a
weekend.
- You must
play both games by the PLAY BY Date.

In the case of
inclement weather where a match cannot be played by
the play by date, we will give you a 1 week grace
period as long as the tournament office is made aware,
by both teams, of the delay.
- Current
handicap certificates MUST be produced at each fixture.
Failure to do so may cause a delay in your match in
order to obtain proof of handicap from your club.
- In
the case of an emergency with evidence
provided of the reason for withdrawal , it may be possible
to replace a player with the same or similar
handicap. However, this cannot be done without
prior agreement from the Tournament Director.
- Courtesy
of the course is often given but in the case where
it is not, we suggest you share the fees at the guest
rate.
- The
winners of each knockout group and each league will automatically qualify for
the one of the UK National Finals, one being in the South of England
and one being in the north, during July 2009
- .At the
National Finals, golf and dinner is complimentary.
- Awards
will be given to the top teams at the National
Finals.
- The
qualifying teams at the National Finals will win a place in Austria
during September 2009.

In the
event, that a team fails to show up for an arranged
match, does not arrange a fixture or concedes a
match, then it is deemed that this team no longer
wants to participate in the competition and they will
be withdrawn from the competition.
- If a
team is abusive, conducts themselves in an
unprofessional way or does not abide by these rules,
the Tournament Director can disqualify a team at any
time throughout the tournament.
- Friends, relatives, supporters
can travel to the Grand Final and be accommodated
entirely at their own expense. The organisers have
arranged special rates. Interested parties should
contact the Tournament Director.
- Worldwide
Tournament Golf Ltd (Amgolfevents) reserve right to
change the grand final venue and date of any
rounds at any time without prior notice
- All decisions concerning the
running and administration of the Tyrol Team Classics
rest with the Tournament Director and his decision in
all matters is final and binding on all competitors.
No correspondence will be entered into.
