A new name but the same great
competition. Now in its 5th year.
Competition Golf in the winter with this
format is just so popular that we just had
to run it again. . The Grand
Finals of which will be held at the outstanding
Schwarzsee
Golf Club in Kitzbuhel, Austria
together with accommodation at the
famous 4 star
Rasmushof hotel with its own
wellness centre during 13th - 18th July
2008.

With
separate events organized for both Men &
Ladies, we would like you to enter a team
of four golfers with two reserves (if
required) from among your golfing
friends, either from your club or elsewhere.
You must however, state where you will base
your home course.

Once
your team has been entered, we will put
you in a league with a maximum of 4 other teams, local
to your area and arrange a fixture list
for the event.
You
will play each team in your league on a
fixture basis.
2 players will play at home with the other
two players playing at the away
venue.
The format is BETTER BALL STABLEFORD
off 3/4 handicap with
the score from each pair (home and away) added together to
create a team score. However a scoring
system will be in place to ascertain your
position within the league.

POINTS
Fixture Win 2 points
Fixture Draw 1 point
and then BONUS POINTS of
Home Pair Win 2 points
Away Pair Win 3 points
Draw Home/Away 1 point |

So, in
reality, if your 2 players win at home and
the other 2 players win away, you could
earn yourselves 7 points but with just a
home win and a Fixture win, you would receive
4 Points.
In the instance that the league points are
equal, then the points for and against ,i.e.points
difference, will determine the league positions.

You
will have approx 5 to 6 weeks to play each fixture
commencing in October 2007 through to April
2008 at a mutually agreed date. However, the
home pair and the away pair do not have to
play on the same date. The only rule is that
both matches must be played by the "PLAY
BY" date. Courtesy of the course is often
given, however in the event it is not, we
suggest you share the fees at the guests'
rate.
A
league table will be posted on this website
after each game to allow everyone to see
the results and how they are progressing.

The
winners of each league will automatically
go through to the Nationals Finals whilst
the Runners Up will enter the Playoffs. Each
Runner Up will play against the Runner Up in
another league during May 2008 with the
winners of the match qualifying for a place
at the National Finals which are to be held
during June 2008 at a first class venue where dinner
and golf is complimentary.
The
qualifying teams at the National Finals will win
a place to Austria for the Grand Finals
during 13th - 18th July 2008.
Your
prize will consist of Return flights
(excluding luggage and golfclub carriage), 5
nights accommodation on a Bed and Breakfast
Basis, Welcome Drink, 3 Rounds of Competition
Golf, Transfers while in Austria and a Gala
Dinner with awards for all the Grand Finalists
on the last evening.
With an entry fee of only £25.00 per player
and a minimum of 4 matches, we believe that
this is
OUTSTANDING VALUE
for money.
